After a busy day of whale watching, being part of a TV show
taping, sampling the delights of Olvera St. and Chinatown,
photographing Union Station, visiting a movie studio backlot
and seeing the La Brea Tar Pits, its time to be pampered at

The Arts
Soaring like a gleaming aria, our new Disney Concert Hall is
the touchstone for a city in love with music and dance. Our
radiant sun is the impetus for painters and photographers
who exhibit in galleries all over town. We have the liveliest
theater scene this side of the Hudson. And it’s all yours
enjoy.

There is such a thing as “California Cuisine” when you
consider the delicious selection of Asian French Mexican
Italian Seafood Traditional Fusion Eclectic Organic cooking
going on here-made with fresh ingredients grown nearby-
you’ll call it “LA Cuisine”.
Museums
The Getty Center. MOCA. Norton Simon. The Huntington.
Japanese American National Museum. LACMA. The names
are renown and impressive, the art and treasures therein
are inspiring. Open the door to any of LA's great museums
and open your eyes to incredible collections and exhibitions
from any era and from any place on earth.
Nightlife
The stars come out at night-this is LA after all-and this town
shimmers after sundown. You can club it in Hollywood, rock
it on the Sunset Strip or cry the blues at the beach. If you
like your bars cool, your movie theaters opulent, and your
billiards parlors and bowling alleys retro, make a late date
with LA.
Recreation
LA is the only place we know where you can go surfing in
the morning and snowboarding in the afternoon. You can
play tennis, go rollerblading on the strand, mountain bike,
ice skate, hike, or play eighteen at one of dozens of golf
courses. Aside from that, pool lounging is probably LA’s
favorite activity.
Shopping
LA has perfected the art of shopping. Where else can you
find vintage concert T-shirts, Asian DVDs, custom perfumes,
designer wrapping paper and even a cuff link store. From
Melrose to Rodeo down Ventura Blvd. And over to Santee,
LA invites you to shop ‘til you….
